ROLFING SERVICES

Rolfing is different to most forms of bodywork. We focus on improving the organisation of your entire bodily structure, rather than just looking at the place that hurts, feels stiff, or doesn’t move as you want. In other words, Rolfing works to address causes, rather than the symptoms.

Rolfing addresses the whole of your body to bring balance and order.

Single Session

If you’re curious about Rolfing, a single session booking can be a great place to start. In our first session I’ll explain how Rolfing works to help relieve pain from injuries, ease chronic tension, and help you to understand your body better for the long-term. We’ll work together to set some goals for your session.

If you already know you need further physical support and are ready to work with me ongoing — a better option might be the first session from the 10-Series format.

3 Sessions

A three-session series allows more time to work with your body, and supply you with the understanding and support you’ll need to address your mobility goals.

These 3 sessions can be personalised to be specific to your goals — or if you’d prefer to work with an existing structure, we can work through the first 3 sessions of Dr. Ida Rolf’s signature 10-Series.

The 10 Series

The original format created by Dr Ida Rolf herself, and one of the most popular ways to experience the Rolfing process around the world. The ten-series provides Rolfers with a map to guide your body through its journey of integration. Although structural goals may be similar, the same session may look very different between clients based on structure, learned behaviours and movement patterns. Each session and series is as unique as the person receiving it.

The 10 Series is a systematic approach to aligning your structure, ideal for those who want more function and ease in their body.

Each session builds upon the last, and prepares your body for the next.

The first three sessions work on the more superficial layers of connective tissue.

Sessions four through seven address strain in deeper layers of the body.

The last three sessions organise and align the body as a whole — providing better balance, enhanced freedom of movement and a higher energy level. If your schedule requires a break between sessions, after sessions three and seven are ideal stopping places in the series.

After the 10 Series: Tune-up Sessions

The way we live our lives means we still tend to accumulate strains and pains even after you have completed the 10 Series. Tune Up sessions are highly recommended for those who want to maintain or get back to how they felt upon completing the 10-Series.
